New Year New Me
I have nothing against New Year's resolutions. Resolutions give everyone a chance to start a fresh for the next revolution around the sun. There's nothing wrong with wanting to be a better version of yourself, that's called growth.
However, we all have that same opportunity every single day we open our eyes and draw breath. The goal for all of us should be to try to be better today than we were yesterday.
For most people it doesn't take any Herculean effort or super human abilities either. It's about the choices we make. Whether it's to exercise more, watch less TV, eat less fried crap or just stay away from people gyal/man.
If we all make better choices, even in the little things, especially in the little things, we can make the change we all should want. So pay people back on time, return phone calls, let people know you'll be late to a meeting, stop being late to meetings/media briefings, stop trying to beat the system by "getting through" and for God's sake stop making everything about politics and race.
So to the "new year, new me" crowd, I say kudos but we don't need to wait until January 1st every year to change the things we aren't happy with. Do better every day. Take care of each other. Most of all, avoid stupid people in 2022 (this is my main goal).
