Power back but we're still in the dark

Now that power has been restored after a nationwide blackout lasting up to eleven and a half hours for some (by some I mean me) I just want to know who is going to be held accountable. It can't just be that we all give thanks and prostrate ourselves on the floor because our Lasco fan is whirring again.

Listen, somebody in authority needs to explain to the nation what took place with more detail than T&TEC's gobbly-gook, Nailah Blackman gibberrish about "a fault developed in our system that caused two 220KV lines to trip".

In the coming days somebody needs to say what caused the fault and what is being done to ensure that it never happens again. Someone needs to explain how in 2022 we have a single point of failure that puts the entire nation at risk.

I mean, who is to blame for all this mosquito bite we take and people having to make conversation with their significant other whole day? You know how long certain men was probably dodging the "so where you see this relationship going" conversation?

Some of us were even forced to read actual books. Yes, books!!....with pages and ink. On a side note, Stephen King is a terrible writer. I don't care how successful you are, you can't be using words out of context.

Not to mention the amount of crimes that probably took place during this period. Although one of the biggest crimes for me was WASA blaming T&TEC for the lack of water supply to customers. It's always somebody else fault they can't provide water. In dry season reservoirs too low and in wet season too much water flowing to reservoirs. They're like the Goldilocks of utilities. They need it just right and still no water for people.

I think the worst part was the dreams T&TEC was selling about when the power would be restored. First it was 2-3 hours, then a few hours more, then maybe by midnight, then 1am for sure. Right now, as far as I'm concerned, they in the same boat as a taxi man bawling "I only need one to leave" when his 280C empty.

On the plus side, all the Wordle people who had the green network as their internet provider gave us a little bligh. That's another thing, how the red network was able to remain online while the green network was searching for citronella candle and torch light? It's as if all these entities never heard of business continuity planning or risk management.

So at the end of the day we need answers otherwise as a nation we're still in darkness and odds are at some point we will be again.
